High-Speed 3-Axis Automation for Fast Pick & Place Tasks
The igus LCA-DR1000-03 3-axis delta robot is designed for high-speed pick & place operations. With a working diameter of 1,000 mm, up to 96 picks per minute, and a top speed of 2 m/s, it offers a precise and cost-effective automation solution. Maximum acceleration reaches 28 m/s² with repeatability around 0.3 mm.
Control is provided via the optional igus® Robot Control, available as a cabinet version. The free software enables intuitive programming and integration with systems like Modbus TCP/IT, ROS, or Python. – ideal for flexible control architectures.
Typische Einsatzbereiche sind Pick & Place, Sortier- und Stapelaufgaben auf Förderbändern sowie End-of-Line-Anwendungen. Dank modularer Bauweise und offener Schnittstellen lässt sich der Roboter einfach in bestehende Automatisierungssysteme integrieren.

Typical applications for our drylin® delta robots are pick and place, conveyor belt picking and stacking tasks in three-dimensional space. In combination with a gripper or suction cup, picking tasks can be implemented very quickly.
Use your own controller
If you want to use your own (robot) controller, this is also no problem. Alternatively, it is also possible to operate each axis individually with a controller. For example with our igus® dryve D1 motor controller. With this control architecture, you need one motor controller per linear axis or motor and an additional master controller, which controls the coordination of the movement. You must then program the inverse kinematics for the delta robot yourself in your development environment. The motor controllers are not part of the article and can be obtained from us as an option. A master controller is not currently offered by igus.
