The drygear® Apiro® system by igus® is a versatile robotics kit featuring lubrication-free worm gears, cantilever axes, and coupling elements. The gearboxes offer minimal backlash (<0.5°), multiple gear ratios (e.g. 1:4, 1:32, 1:64), and a lifetime of over 1 million cycles.
Integration is enabled via igus® D1 dryve motor controller supporting Modbus TCP, CANopen, and digital/analog I/Os. Compatible with NEMA17/23 motors, encoders, brakes, and sensors.
Ideal for custom automation in research, education, prototyping, or startups. Perfect for creative applications requiring flexibility, modularity, and cost-efficiency.
