Unitree G1 Special Version
The Unitree G1 special editions, Boxing and Comp, bring humanoid robotics to dynamic applications. The G1 Boxing combines fluid, motion-capture-trained movement sequences with balance and rapid recovery after impacts. Control is via motion capture, a controller or voice commands. The G1 Comp is designed for robotics competitions and research: LiDAR, a depth camera and interfaces for motion control and perception support custom applications. Choose the right platform for interactive demonstrations or the development of autonomous competition strategies.

G1 Boxing - 29 Degrees of Freedom for Full-Body Motion
The Unitree G1 EDU Boxing features 29 degrees of freedom, enabling coordinated movement of the arms, legs, and upper body. Seven joints per arm provide a wide range of arm movements, while the three-axis waist adds further flexibility to the upper body. The Boxing version enhances the humanoid robot with a reinforced waist configuration and additional protective components. This provides a technical platform for implementing dynamic full-body movements as well as punching and evasive maneuvers. With a height of 1,270 mm, the G1 EDU Boxing is well suited for research, development, and demonstration environments that require a compact humanoid robotics platform.

Open Platform for Custom Development
The Unitree G1 EDU Boxing is designed as an EDU version for secondary development and the implementation of custom robotics applications. Unitree SDK2, Low-Level Motor Control, and High-Level Motion Control provide different levels of access for developing custom motion and control functions. DDS and ROS 2-oriented integration facilitate integration into robotics software environments. Developers can access features and data including arm control, robot state information, odometry, LiDAR, and depth camera data. This makes the platform a versatile technical foundation for development in areas such as motion planning, navigation, SLAM, reinforcement learning, and embodied AI.

Sensors and Computing Power for Robotics
For environmental perception, the Unitree G1 EDU Boxing combines a depth camera with 3D LiDAR. The resulting sensor data can be used for development tasks such as spatial perception, navigation, and SLAM. A four-microphone array and 5 W speaker are also included for applications requiring audio input and output. For onboard development and computing, the robot is equipped with an NVIDIA Orin NX with 16 GB of memory, providing computing resources for custom robotics and AI applications. Connectivity options include Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2, allowing developers to integrate a variety of network connections and peripheral devices into their research and development setups.
